Dental Crowns

A dental crown fully encapsulates a tooth down to the gum line. Dental crowns protect a tooth from further decay or weakening, and restore functionality to the bite. Dr. Ramirez may recommend a crown if you have undergone root canal treatment or sustained a cracked tooth. Crowns can be made from porcelain or porcelain fused to metal. Dr. Ramirez prefers all-porcelain crowns for their aesthetic appeal. In a period of about three weeks, we can deliver customized crowns that match the size, shape and color of your surrounding teeth, ensuring your restoration blends seamlessly with your smile. Crowns can be brushed and flossed just like a natural tooth, and with proper care, they can last for years.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges fill gaps in a smile where one or more teeth has fallen out or been extracted. A dental bridge is supported either by one or more dental implants or by adjacent natural teeth covered with special dental crowns. Also known as a partial denture, a bridge may be composed of several false teeth. Our dental laboratory makes beautiful bridge restorations that fit seamlessly within the other natural teeth, matching their size, shape, and color.

Complete Oral Rehabilitation

Complete oral rehabilitation restores oral health and functionality using a custom combination of restorative treatments. During a consultation, Dr. Ramirez identifies the patient's problems and helps decide what treatment options can restore their bite. Some patients will require a full oral rehabilitation including crowning of all teeth to restore occlusions, vertical dimensions, aesthetics, or any combination of these. For others, single tooth extraction and a dental bridge can suffice. For more information on your options, contact our offices today.

Neuromuscular Dentistry

Neuromuscular dentistry addresses misalignment issues with the jaw and temporomandibular joint. These treatments can correct the source issues that cause symptoms like pain, soreness, teeth grinding, and more. When the jaw is misaligned, the TMJ must overcompensate to create a comfortable bite, and the strain can cause other dental problems to arise. Dr. Ramirez has worked with many patients to realign their jaws using techniques including orthodontic care, retainers, splint therapy, and more. He uses the Myomonitor in diagnosing and exploring treatment options in neuromuscular dentistry.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Traditional fillings are crafted from a silver amalgam material.  Dr. Ramirez prefers tooth-colored fillings for their ability to blend naturally with surrounding teeth. Tooth-colored fillings are made of a safe, non-toxic composite resin. Dr. Ramirez can match this type of filling nearly identically to  the color of a patient's natural teeth. Tooth-colored fillings are durable and long-lasting, and effectively protect against further decay. Overall, tooth-colored fillings enhance, rather than detract from, the appearance of our patients' smiles.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini dental implants offer a superior method of restoring missing teeth by stabilizing a denture. During mini implant placement, a small titanium post,  smaller in diameter than traditional implants, is surgically embedded into the jaw. A series of four mini implants creates a stable base for dentures or partials. These implants offer a number of unique benefits. Healing time is minimized, and unlike traditional implants, which require a healing period of three to six months before they can support a prosthesis, mini dental implants can support a denture the same day they are placed.

Dental Bonding

Dental fillings are the traditional final step in treating a cavity. We use a special tooth-colored resin to fill the void that results from cavity treatment. In a process called dental bonding, Dr. Ramirez can carefully apply the resin to not only provide structural reinforcement, but also restore a natural-looking appearance. Dental bonding can also have cosmetic applications, such as concealing minor chips and cracks, or closing slight gaps between teeth.
